International Conference of NGOs 2024
The International Conference of NGOs is mandated by UNESCO's Directives concerning partnership with Non-Governmental Organizations, and is held in December every two years. It provides a crucial opportunity for NGOs to discuss collective priorities for action, and to elect a new NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee.

Draft Recommendations of the International Conference
As we make final preparations for the 2024 International Conference of NGOs, I have the pleasure of attaching draft recommendations prepared by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee. These are based on the following: Input received from NGOs through surveys and written contributions to the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee; input received from NGOs during online consultations; input from the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee on the experience and activities of the current mandate
updates in UNESCO’s strategy, activities, and resolutions passed by the General Conference, Executive Board, etc.
Please consider these recommendations ahead of the International Conference.
Historically, limited time and resource in translation has meant the process can be very challenging during the Conference.
