NGO Forums are organized by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee, with the support and participation of the Secretariat, in accordance with the Directives concerning UNESCO’s partnership with NGOs (36 C/Res. 108). The involvement of the Programme Sectors and relevant Programme Specialists, alongside the Liaison Committee and the NGOs, is essential, particularly in the definition of themes and the development of the programme.  Each Forum has a specific theme guided by  the input of the NGOs gathered at the International Conference of NGOs in Official Partnership with UNESC
